Hello,
Is there a way of setting permissions to propagate for one user while another user is set not to propagate access? Thank you.

Totally possible. Give the user that you don't want to have Prop access--make sure that user doesn't have "C" access.
Oh wait, that's not what you wanted? The answer, then, is no.
And assigning access to users instead of groups...not the best idea.

Why is assigning access to users instead of groups not a good idea? Most customers I have seen use both, group and user access to for example grant single developers temporary more rights without elevating the whole group or even lock out specific users while giving the rest of the group access. Having user access override group access is a nice feature to use and in my opinion not a bad thing at all. Regards, Mathias

Are you talking about section access rights not inheriting the module access rights? I think that is a general problem independent of user or group access. Whenever you change your access rights on the module, you have to repropagate the access to the sections. This is best done by a simple script. But this always needs to be done, whenever someone adds/removes an access record on the module (manually or by script). Or did I get you wrong? Mathias
